✅ Auto Return is a privately owned, government contracted company (impound facility) that provides storage services to towing companies and law enforcement agencies, including the San Francisco Police Department.

🔥 Twice per month, usually on Wednesdays, they auction off about 120 vehicles that have been towed, impounded and unclaimed by the registered or legal owners. The auction is held rain or shine, bidding starts at just $200 and every vehicle is sold to the highest bidder.

⌚ The preview/inspection period starts at 8:30am and ends at 9:30am for vehicles that start/run. The auction begins at 10:00am.

💰 Admission is free with a valid picture ID, such as a Driver’s License. Each bidder must display either a valid credit card or $100 cash upon entry. Each bidder is allowed one guest (with valid picture ID). You must be at least 18 to bid, and at least 16 to be a guest.
